Mark R. Meador Nominated as FTC Commissioner
I am pleased to nominate Mark R. Meador to serve as a Commissioner on the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Mark Meador is a partner at Kressin Meador Powers LLC, a boutique antitrust law firm specializing in competition policy and legal advisory.
He previously served as Deputy Chief Counsel for Antitrust and Competition Policy to Senator Mike Lee, a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Antitrust Subcommittee.
Meador has extensive experience in antitrust enforcement, having worked at both the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice Antitrust Division. He also practiced law at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.
Education
He earned his undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of Chicago and received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center.
